Have a brain as big as an AMIGA 200o yet cannot figure out how to remove the latch that holds the blind up. Pin has broken on it and i want to put a metal one in it. Someone please make me look like a fool. Here is a photo.

Are you just wanting to open the blind, or remove the blind completely?

Thanks for video but I want to remove that centre fitting so i can replace the small plastic pins with metal ones. i will try the first suggestion. Blind goes up and down perfectly but one side does not latch due to the brocken pin.

If you pull the blind fully down have the window open if carefull hold the top and lift one end at the bottom it should tilt so you can lift out the bar you need two people but it’s possible but be careful not to crease the blind

Pin had broken off. Had a new fitting but chickened out when it came to trying to get the old one off. I see there is a barb top and bottom of the new fitting. What i did was drill a 2.8 mm hole through just inside of the fuinger bracket and put a SS pin in that lined up with the slide hole. Works well and is not an eyesore. Thanks to all for your help. New part back to gathering dust. And yes i can see it could well be a man and a woman job but she was making tea.
