SWMBO had one of her (rare) good ideas. The fridge makers recommend that the door be left slightly open when out of use to reduce the condensed damp inside. We found ours still got a bit grotty till we tried the following.

When the fridge is empty and out of use put in one of those disposable dehumidifier things found in pound shops and leave the door properly closed. Not only stops any dampness that might cause mould growth but also less chance of the door opening while travelling. Because the fridge is practically airtight the dehumidifier will last for ages.

Our fridge has a catch that we adjust for in use/storage setting. In either setting the door is unable to swing about.

Cup of table salt is supposed to work.and reduce the condensation and mould.
having said that we don’t have any salt in our house so never tried.

My van is permanently plugged in to EHU. Fridge is quite often pressed into use as an extra fridge. Very useful when having parties and guests.

Mine are both jammed, so when parked out the front, a towel is jammed in so that the doors stay open and eliminates any possibility of mould. Crude but effective….

We leave our fridge door side open, whilst in storage, then ( dare I say it..) Have a cuddly toy minion that is squished in to keep the freezer compartment open.
Shuuush!... Would never use snoopy
That way :X3:

And, the new party track is -,-----, " We're Jabbing, jabbing in the name of the lord, jabbing " :giggle:

We have a removable freezer compartment in ours, which now we always remove when the fridge isn’t on. Also, put the sink cover up.
