I'm a newbie
I forgot to mention in my last thread while I was trying to sort out the kitchen light cluster I was using a 240v extension lead and that showed up to my horror white mould on the fridge door. Further investigation and I found it on most of the overhead lockers Better than black mould I suppose because it came off easily but I don't fancy any of it no matter what colour. The vans been in hibernation since late September 2019 and this mould would have gone unnoticed had I not been using a bright inspection light. If you've laid your van up for any length of time it might be worth checking out the interior.

i always leave the cupboard doors open for a lot ( not all ) of the time its laid up and empty every thing.

gives me a great opportunity to remove / re evaluate what we are carrying around that we thought was a good idea but never used.

Cheers Phil Yep, left all the doors open and cut the excess to the bone but the missus keeps topping it up

Have you just wiped the white mould off or cleaned it properly. White mould can be just as bad for your health as black mould and if it’s not cleaned off properly will come back. We’ve had both types ( not in the van though), and a weak bleach solution or specific mould and mildew removal will kill it.

Point taken Allanm, merci

Cillit Bang!. (y) Used a lot of it after the flood which destroyed the Bungalow floor 2018. We had been "out" for 5 months. But because of the damp conditions even with de humidifiers running day and night we where finding it everywhere.
