I’m having problems buying a French motorway tag from the UK, can anyone advise? Fulli don’t like UK IBAN numbers, Uylis will only deal with a Euro based bank and Sanef will only sell for ‘light vehicles’ but don’t state that a 3.5t motorhome is a light enough! Emovis appears expensive in comparison or is it that cost for the Brits.

3.5t is in the light category. We have Emovis tags for France and Spain/Portugal. Used the Spanish/Portugal one today in our 3.5t PVC. It "beeped" when required and was so much less hassle than paying by card or at a kiosk which we did on our first trips.

The mystery for me is how a lot Spanish cars, often expensive ones, don't have a tag and pay by card instead.

I use Fulli formally Mango and did have problems with setting up a direct debit which they prefer. I sorted it by opening an HSBC currency account in Euros to run alongside my normal HSBC account. I just transfer enough money in to pay for the tolls.

We use Emovis, it is a bit more to set up and a yearly fee of 5 Euro + 5 Euro for the first two months of use for each billing year + 20 euro (deposit for tag) and 6 euro postage.

But has saved lots of hassle messing around at tolls and always billed properly with no nasty suprises.

Thanks DBK. I assumed Emovis would work as Eurotunnel and camping clubs offer them. I may have to buy one at the tunnel if all else fails.

Mango - now Fulli - one tag for France, Spain, Portugal & Italy. Had a deal on when I purchased and simple to open a Revolut card account and register it for payment.

Thanks Orion, a Revolut card may be the answer to get a Fulli card that are still offering a deal.

Emovis via eurotunnel for me. Going through ET saved a bit, but don’t think there is massive savings to be made.

Well I’m now well into my trip through Spain and Portugal, and so far Fulli has worked perfectly, beeping at the right time, and it now just awaits my rerun up through France, and hopefully all will be well…..until I get the bill!!!! But so much easier than stop start of cash/card payments.

Convenience is king with a toll badge, as you say the bill though….. just got my recent one with cat 4 to S. France and back🫣

Thanks Sleuth-Hound, but I was more interested how users pay, from a UK account when none that I have found accept GB IBAN numbers.

I’m so sorry. I did pay for mine through the international payment thingy, but for the love of me, I cannot remember how. Sorry I am of little or no help. Good luck.

That's strange, I signed up with Fulli last week and the direct debit is with my Natwest account.

I think a few managed the same but when it came to verify payment they couldn't so never received their tag might be wrong or the have just changed the rule.

We have registered with bip today, our direct debit was rejected by nat west, we went to the natwest branch in halifax and they set it up linked to our credit card. Some British banks do not do direct debits in euros.

I signed up for the Mango - now Fulli deal. I used a Starling account but although the website accepted the IBAN number, in the end I had to open a Euro account at Starling alongside my GBP account, which had a different IBAN etc.

The same as many have built in mobile phones yet are driving whilst talking on a hand held mobile 📱?
