Apologies for hubbys punctuation, he is dyslexic and i usually check what he writes !
Absolutely no need to apologise on here. No one judges and if they did they would be banned. This is Fun.👍
Good luck with valuation and sale.

I have always wondered who thought it would be a good idea to name a syndrome about getting your words and letters mixed up "dyslexia" which must be 1 of the hardest words to write?

As someone said don't worry on here as no one will judge you just look at some of my threads most don't make sense as my keyboard thinks I've got massive sausage type fingers and couple that with predictive text and it looks like I'm talking a different language

Im mechanic so have the same fingers 🤣

Sure will make someone some happy memories as it has for you guys! A few dealers on here that hopefully see the post. Good time to sell so best of luck 🤞

Right! Now we've discussed the ins and outs of dyslexia has anyone got views on the valuation?

From the body decals it seems to be one of the Chausson models. More details would help, e.g. refillable gas? service record? cambelt change (if applicable).......................

A search on the auction sites (eBay, Gumtree etc.) or dealer websites might give a rough idea of asking prices.

According to the DVLA the MOT expired 5th Oct 2020 so a new MOT will be essential before it's advertised.

It is a chausson odyssee 78 fixed rear bed 4 berth ( never worked to other bed out)
. Will get it For MOT in next few weeks, with work and lockdown and not being able to use it i didnt bother
I did search but cant find the same model for a idea of value.
It has loads of paperwork and history.
Tried to upload more pics but it says the file to large ? (Iphone 7 pics)

Perhaps you’re trying to upload all the photos at the same time?
Just try to post 2 or 3, as you did before.....?

(Are you there, Simon-Alan Kerr ?)

Ok......anyone else got any ideas, please? :(

Strange as i took and uploaded to the free section yesterday no problem

IMO, in today's market I would advertise it around 18 k and take anything within a couple of k on asking price. Needs a full MOT and the damp fixing 👍 first.
A prospective buyer if knowledgeable would be knocking a couple of k off for upholstery, another for other bits and 2 k at least for damp ( without seeing it😉)

Based on very recent experience, it really is a very unpredictable market. We were looking to trade in our beloved camper for a shiny new MH during lockdown. We found the MH we wanted, called the dealer and provided them with photos, they quoted a figure that I stated was too low to do the deal and drew a line on the conversation. I was called back shortly after saying they were willing to match my valuation subject to viewing.

We drove 90 miles to the dealer to view the MH and for the camper to be valued. In under 2 hours, the value of our camper had dropped by 21% - the sales manager gave a longish list of excuses as to why this was and in doing so was (probably) unintentionally quite rude about something very dear to us. It was clear that they didn't really want the vehicle because it needs some work to get it back to full showroom condition. We walked away with a couple of days to think things through. It was a long 90 mile drive home.....

I phoned around, was very honest about the condition of the vehicle (as I had been originally) and got a very varied valuation. We settled on a deal against a new van with someone who appreciated the value and was able to realistically cost the work required. My advice would be to phone round and certainly don't settle on the first offer unless you are very comfortable with it.

If you read my posts on here, you will see that I am pretty clueless about things mechanical and electrical. I was educated at a traditional Grammar School at Stourbridge, and studied Latin and Ancient Greek at GCE O Level. My Dad was a mechanic who never had a formal education, and his Army-learned communication/man management skills led him to say of me on many occasions that I 'would never make a mechanic as long as I have a hole up my a*se'.

He was right, of course, and I would swap an awful lot of my education for the practical knowledge of how things function and how to fix them when they break [and how to avoid breaking other components by my cackhanded approach to tackling the original problem] (y)
