G'day all, wonder if anyone can help ! I have a Hymer B634 with a fiat ducatto 2.8 jtd which has a bumping sensation on tickover... like it's missing, no loss of power.. only on tickover, its covered 28k miles on an 03 plate. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what is it ?

We have a Peugeot 2.3 in ours ,so not really relevant but it always seem to miss if you rev it from idle and let it back to idle but it's done 40 thousand like that so it would worry me if it didn't do it now(y):) might add I have serviced it three times in this period and made not a jot of difference.

    Welcome

Low mileage vehicles (2k miles per year) like yours, are sometimes not serviced that frequently and can suffer other problems, brought on by little use.

Perhaps one of the injectors has become a little gummed up.

It may be worth giving it a good thrashing to see if that cures the problem. Take it for a run and then when the engine is up to normal operating temperature, take it up to highish revs in the lower gears. Worth a try !!!

Try some injector cleaner top grade diesel and a thrashing.
Before spending a lot of money.

DITTO, the Italian tune up strikes again, might be gunge in the manifold or the EGR valve sticking.
