Hi all

Julie and I are fairly new and still learning a lot. We have now graduated from only going away for a minimum of a long weekend at a pre booked site to enjoying the freedom of using the Motorhome for one day events and making it sooooo much more relaxing by going in the Motorhome the evening before and leaving the day after.

(We live near Maidstone and recently went to the Balloon Festival near Haywards Heath, not too far for a day return car journey but we stayed on a very level car park belonging to the Gardeners Arms, directly opposite the entrance. Not only did we avoid the queuing in and out on the day, we were tucked up in bed before most people had exited the parking and the pub did great food and cocktails at very reasonable prices).

So now we have booked theatre tickets for a Saturday in Eastbourne and would like to arrive late Friday afternoon and leave Sunday afternoon (Julie is now retired but I have another year to go - boo)!

It looks like we can park up on King Edward Avenue but as you can never be certain of how up to date any info is, can anyone confirm that this is still the case or if there are other options please? I understand that there may still be parking charges during the day.

If it makes any difference, we have a Swift Escape 674, 7.3m long, 2.9m high.

Thanks.

Try Campercontact, Park4night.

Also try Google but the East Sx. LA don't allow it in their car parks.

Hello we use the park4night app and on there you can check the dates on recent reviews

Thanks for the replies.

Google street view is good for ‘walking up and down’ and reading the signs but can be more than 2 years out of date (for instance, Google doesn’t show the ‘no overnight camper vans’ signs at Folkestone seafront).

Parking4night looks pretty helpful.

You can park on King Alfreds from about the Western Lawn heading heading west. There are flatter areas around the Italian gardens areas.
