Can anyone recommend the best, and cheapest, Motorhome insurer, please?

It's a bit of "how long is a piece of string" question as premiums are predicated upon postcode of where vehicle is stored, annual mileage, driver age \ experience, driving history, etc.
Suggest you maybe try Comfort, AIB, Safeguard, etc details of which you'll find on here by using the Search facility at top right.(y)

Their premiums vary considerably depending on your risk profile. What is good value for someone, is expensive for others.
All you can do is ring around the brokers and insurance companies, I use AIB and find them helpful and good value but not had a claim.
If you do a search there are loads of threads

Give LV a shout. Search threads here for more information on how the classify your vehicle. I found it easier to call them. We have all our vehicles with them and find them spot on for service. Good luck 👍

Those two don’t necessarily go together. The ones mentioned in various threads on here are the ones most used by motorhomers.

Just insured with LV, if you want your bike rack, solar panels, awning covered you have to tell them, they charged me £33 extra for the privilege.

First distinguish which firms are actually the insurers who are underwriting the policy and which are just Brokers(Agents) for the underwriting company, then find out the name of the underwriting company and in which country it is authorised and regulated.

The reason we found LV was they were the underwriters for our last CAMC insurance cover.

Just re insured my Carthago and have been insured in the past with Safeguard and Comfort and both present quotes were not as expected. Got a quote from a firm in Birmingham called Think Insurance brokers and re insured through them with all the same benefits as the other two and saved just short of £150. They are very helpful and well worth trying and get good reviews.
Worth trying, good luck.

We’ve found Comfort to be very good.

Only trouble with Comfort is they are fully committed to Aviva and can’t quote any other company as other brokers can do.
