I keep my Motorhome at my mothers less than a mile away as she is on water meter and I’m not , would I be ok to drive round to my house to give it a wash
What do you guys think ?

And it’s a yes from me. Exercise for you, walking there and back after, cheer up your Mum waving to her, maybe drop off some essential supplies ;)
More fresh air and exercise for you washing it and mental boost from a clean van.

Whether it’s ok to run the van for such short times another matter, is that what you were asking?

Keep it running while washing it. Best to get it up to temp. (y) Or give your mum a quid for the water and she might put a cup of tea on the doorstep for you.(y)

I’ll tell mum she’s got to do it when she comes home from a shift on coal face

I am also on a water meter and I find it makes no difference when I compared our usage with a friend who is not on a meter so just wash it at your mums , and it is not an essential journey,or you could walk round with a few buckets !!

Just be ready to prove you're address if it's less than a mile away and you have shopping on the passenger seat you will be fine.

I meant to add, but forgot, our water bills dropped by half when I changed to a water meter!

On our water services you also get a discount if you have a garden pond that might need topping up and there is a discount off the sewerage charge because our gutters all drain into water butts or soakaways and not the sewer system.
The sewerage charge is linked to water usage so that went down as well.
