I know it’s probably like trying to find a unicorn, but are there any places on the Mosel where you’re not cheek by jowl with your neighbour? I’m half wishing I’d bought the German France Passion equivalent to find some vineyards, but it was 50 euros and we only have a week tops.

Currently at Senheim, heading towards Luxembourg.

I would think sites would be OK are you using Aires / stellplatz ? But it is a very popular area

So far just a site (and we swerved a couple) as we needed black water emptying and have never done a Stellplatz. Would Stellplatz be worse?

Not on the Mosel but close by on the Saar, try the town of Saarburg, has a great stelplatz and a lovely town

And no camping activity.
Nobody told the Germans that. When we were there they were all sitting and eating out and enjoying the sunshine. We thought it would be rude not to do the same.

Very orderly and well spaced out at the Urzig stelleplatz with water, dump and electric if needed 👍

When you say "black water" I guess you mean toilet cassette which can be disposed of on most stellplatz (y) and there are some lovely ones all along the Mosel, one of my favourites from our last trip is Enkirch but it will be full this weekend with an overland vehicles meet.

Thanks everyone, will add those into the app and see what works out.

Stellplatz with defined pitches and awning space at Minheim.

Got ourselves a whole lot of space by the river at Trittenheim. Bet it fills up though.

Loads of stellpatz down the Mosel and most have plenty of room and chairs ,tables barbecues etc all allowed .
Urzig, Zell, Traban Trarbach, to name a few also try some of the wine producers.

Just had 4 nights on the stellplatz at Riol. Big pitches, loads of space , just like a campsite with toilets and showers and 16 amp electric all for 15 euros a night. On the Moselle but also beside a lake and cycle path. Triolago is the site name.
