If you are planning to go through the MBT from France to Italy be prepared to have your van height measured!
When we arrived at the toll booth last Saturday the lady attendant did not believe that our van was 2.99 m high.
She produced a heavy metal measuring pole which she could barely lift and waved it precariously close to the side and top of our van before coming back to the booth and to be fair apologised and gave us the Class 2 rate.
Laser height measuring devices have yet to be installed it seems!

I guess it was for the price banding, they measured us on the toll section around Bordeaux when we asked for Class2.
