Ever since I bought my 2016 Fiat Ducato Malibu PVC just over 4 years ago, I have struggled to use the sun visors without hunching. This is because the swivel on the seat raises the seating position by approx. 40mm, and with the Remis blinds fitted, the frame stopped the visor from being pushed far enough forward so I could see under it.
Searching around for a possible solution, I saw some Remis adaptors on a German site, but at 25 Euro plus 15 Euro for postage etc, I dismissed them. I then managed to track them down on a UK site here http://shop.ukleisureparts.co.uk/en...fiat_ducato_from_2006_for_remifront_rollo_iv/ but at £25.50 plus shipping, I thought they were still rather expensive for what they are.
This got me thinking, maybe I could make a spacer. I had a rummage around in the garage and found some 18mm ply I had lying around, I templated the base of the sun visor using a piece of cardboard, then transferred this onto the 18mm ply. I cut the inside out first using a jigsaw, then the outside. I tried this spacer under the sun visor mounting, using longer cap head bolts to replace the originals, which were too short. I found it allowed the sun visor to be pushed further forward before it hits the Remis blind frame.
Spurred on by the improvement in visibility, I then added an additional 12mm ply spacer (this I didn’t need to cut out the inside, only the outside. I did however have to provide some relief on this spacer as the visor pivot was touching it and stopping it from laying flat.

Shown are the 18mm (lighter colour) and 12mm ply adapters (note: I am not a carpenter by any stretch of the imagination, I’m more of a wood butcher
) . The 18mm adapter sits snugly onto the sun visor base. On the 12mm piece, which is just a spacer, I had to relieve a little where the sun visor pivot was
