Mobile phones in Spain (1 Viewer)

We are in Southern Spain for a month in January and are on a Vodafone minimun monthly plan (£8.90 pm), what would be the most cost effective method for the odd phone call and txts for the month, we never use our phones for the internet, what do others do, SIM card?.

Charges are now pretty much the same now we are on O2 that seems to work for us but apparently 3. Is very good someone will be along soon with info

Tesco £7.50 per month, no data, is what I use. Works on the O2 network. Would be happy to find something even cheaper.

Buy a local sim...
I have orange and just top up €10 now and again.. Calls back to UK landlines are very cheap.

Or why not upgrade your voda to THREE, £11 a month give you 2gb data, 200mins of calls and unlimited txt.
You can then call from France / Spain on the feel at home service using your included mins..

Have a look at TOGGLE, It works well for us, particularly if you don't want data. 3p/min calls back to UK.
On line top up. Extra £2 if paid via Paypal. I use mine as main phone in UK, France & Spain. Always amazes me how long £20 lasts.

By the way, Toggle is payg. No credit loss at end of month. No contract, no incoming call charges.
