I’m a newbie
Hi.
I have a 2004 Chausson welcome 28. I have it about 8 weeks or more and I’m trying to find out what bulb goes into my outside light. I’ve attached a picture of the housing from the inside. I’m presuming it’s a car bulb of some sort but not sure. Any help would be great

Looks like a standard bayonet fitting (12V 5W tail light)

I had a similar light in a previous caravan.

Whilst agreeing with your previous correspondents, I increased the intensity of the bulb by buying a small metal mirror (from an army, navy type store) and, after putting a concave curve on the mirror, fitting it to the inside of the fitment, thereby throwing the light out, through the plastic outside lens. Hope this helps.

Be careful with the awning light brightness as you may have aircraft circling overhead looking for somewhere to land. :xgrin:

Standard BA 15s base as suggested get a high brightness LED, with LED's don't take too much notice of the wattage equivalent go by the Lumins.

Hard to see from the photo, but just check how many contacts there are. Usually there's one single contact in the centre, but bulbs with two contacts, positive and negative, do exist. They are fitted where there may be no negative return path through the bodywork, such as motorhome coachwork.
