Wondering why you are only changing 2 as in a lot of countries you have to have same make/type of tyre on the same axle, could cause problems if you had a punture.

i, I did the same upgrade, but changed all 5 tyres ( including spare) and sold them on here. I’m curious, is it OK to have different tyres on front and back? Which one do you have as a spare?

I'll take my chances with the spare. I do have E&P so in 99% of the time I would replace myself. As a get you home spare I could use a 215 without issue on the front and as an emergency on the rear. There is no issue having the front/rear combination as is.

I’m putting 225s on the rear of my van and leaving the 215s on the front as I don’t want mud up the side.
Don’t carry a spare, just a proper repair kit and a compressor so that doesn’t matter.
Can’t see that the local plod would be too interested in 10mm of tyre width.
