Good luck with the sale - sounds like good value to me. :xThumb:

Might have been interested, but we already have M25 FUN on the van. :)

For those unaware, there will also be a £80 transfer/retention fee to DVLA if it isn't included in the price.

The £80 fee is included in the price. I have to pay that to remove and retain the number, I will then be issued with a V778 Retention Document or an online reference number. I will pass this on to the purchaser who has to submit it to the DVLA with their V5C.

How does it fit with HX65 DXZ?

HX65DXZ should be ok, it is just a matter of not making a vehicle look newer than it really is.

As has already been mentioned - if your existing registration is HX65 DXZ - then MH65 FUN will be absolutely fine. The transfer process is straightforward. And with the asking price of £250 including the £80 DVLA fee, then it really is a bargain at a net cost for the number of £170.

You may find your insurer wants £20 or £30 admin fee to change the registration, but that should be it.

Apologies, I misunderstood thinking the buyer also had to pay to transfer the number to their vehicle.
Of course thinking about it you would then have to pay again to put it on another of your vehicles even though you already paid.

I think you're selling too cheap in light of this.

We have RV17 FUN and RV18 FUN for the tow car - i think that’s a bargain for someone and will make the new owner smile.

You can do the transfer online if you have the certificate, it's instantly changed on their records so you need to immediately change the plates.

It costs £14 online to change your name by deed poll.
Why not save a few quid and simply change your name to whatever your existing registration is..................

Fair price for this, ideal for a 65th birthday present if anyone on here isn’t already too old (unlikely I know!)
