My brother in law is considering a MH but thinks he won't find one to sleep his 6'8". He may go to the dark side and consider a caravan. Are there any MHs that would accomodate the taller person. There are just the two of them and I don't think they are looking for an enormous MH as they have limited storage space. Presumably suitable models will have beds oriented along the length of the vehicle rather than the width. They'd probably be considering a coachbuilt rather than a panel conversion. And probably 8 to 10 years old. Any suggestions?

Chances are that most coach built vans will have the over cab bed that will be over 6' 8" most are plus 7 ' wide --PVC and he's looking at a extra high van with longitude beds -I don't know any converters that do such a thing only one off builders and I don't think there would be much call for that either -The transit I built has a 6' 4" bed with 4 ins gap before the wardrobe and another 5" to 6" before the seat backs giving around 7 ft plus if you don't mind dangly feet High wise he will still have to duck :D

My Eldest Son is 6ft 10 and has no trouble in the overhead bed on our Hymer. Most beds he dangles his feet out of the end of the bed no possible in our fixed bed in the Hymer though.

I'm 6'4" and have no trouble in my Hobby 600 which has a full width permanent bed at the rear over the garage. There is space at both head and feet so I'm sure an extra 4" wont make much difference

The drop down bed in any Hymer is around 7' wide

Not sure about 7' Jim. The Transverse bed I our Flair is 2.o metres so a tad over 6'6" and the drop down in A class is 1.92 metres so just over 6 foot. Our transverse, and this might apply to others as well could be 3 inches wider if you used the space over the radiator vents at the side.

Hi 6ft 5 no trouble in drop down Burstner avino a class

Our 1992 Elddis voyager has a 215cm over cab bed and also the seating and dining area make into a 215cm by 200cm bed too.

I've read that Carthago have the biggest beds in their A class than any other manufacturer.
