Mega Mobil and Select Motorhomes Ltd

As a 5.4m PVC owner since 2017 what I noticed was a lack of lockers and other storage compared with mine. That layout wouldn't suit me.
So have you got anything positive to say about it

Yes they are, the biggest benefit for having a MAN chassis is that their workshops are open 24 hrs a day so in theory you could get an overnight service on it👍👍
But since the rules changed so that the warranty work could be done at any professional garage as long as they used OE parts.
I would have thought that the Crafter could use the same workshop or am I missing something? 🤔

Possibly, I don’t know for sure🤷‍♂️👍

Congratulations Simon and good luck with the launch! Mega Mobil is one the best specialist brands alongside Globe-Traveller which is already sold here. I see that another top campervan brand, Robeta, is launching at the NEC. All we need now is for La Strada and Affinity to come the UK! With the market slowing down and supply chains improving, some European brands are obviously looking at the UK to expand.
I was so impressed by the 540 Mega Lounge that I took lots of pictures.

The new mega Mobil on your forecourt is looking bloody good Simon Select, they will be even better on the new Ducato with the latest dash etc!
Good luck with them, they look better than the usual pvcs on offer👍

Love the rear lounge and drop down bed.I think I've found THE van when we are ready to down size

Impressed by Megamobil at NEC 2025 but no Simon Select. Anyone know why?

Not sure I like the Cottagey Oak floorboard look in a van, and why the white grain filler. I wouldn't accept that in a domestic floor!

It should automatically alert, but it's easy to unwatch threads you start so you don't always get the alert. In fact I think it's an option in your profile. I was just trying to be helpful.

When I was there recently he was pretty busy expanding his footprint at his site to incorporate both Sales and Service.

Same upholstery we had in our Sunliving by Adria. It didn't wear very well becoming threadbare at the front of the seats.

Still want to know why MegaMobil not one of Select’s brands. Any issues here? Brand issues or just dealer issues? May have to keep hands in my pockets.

I was dead keen on buying one of the MAN based vans put just couldn't get to see one in the flesh without flying out to the factory so went elsewhere. Lack of dealer network was a concern as well.Shame as I think they are offering something a little different to all the plastic and panel walled vans selling themselves as being luxury.

It was going to be a joint venture between Select & Go European, don't know what happened Simon has kept very quite about it.

I'm not a PVC, fan, and wonder, as there are only half dozen vans on which to base a conversion on, I would have thought that just about every combination of designs would have been considered by now ?

Clearly something changed. But business decisions like that are rarely, if ever, made public.

I wouldn't have bought one. The lounge felt like sitting on the bench seat in the rear of an old Landrover and none of the models had any hanging space, that might not be an issue for many, but it was a big no-chance from Siân

We’ve started vaguely looking as plan to change van in ‘26 or ‘27. We looked at Pössl again as we’ve liked our Campscout … they do an XL in EU but not found one here … higher do Tim wouldn’t have to stoop and longer bed.

But we like the swinging shower wall in the shine and the fact you can have a single comfy seat in the dinette to open up the space.

Shame you can’t mix and match the ideas!

I feel a motorhome show coming on next year .

How’s it going after 5 months? Hope it’s as great as it looks.
It’s exceeded our expectations in every way. Just returned from 8 week in Europe, no faults at all which is more than I can say for most of our previous vans.

I have heard some rummers but won't comment as I'm not 100% sure of the facts. However what I do know is Mega Mobil have appointed an agent in the UK to develop the dealer network . Chelston have now been signed and have stock, more dealers are in the process of being recruited.
