medical supplies when you don't have a permanent address? (1 Viewer)

Hi I have an ileostomy ( a bag attached to my body). We are going to give up mainstream life an tour for a year in a motorhome in the UK.

How would i get my medical supplies if I do not have a permanent address and I'm not registered with a dr.

If it's just ileostomy bags you need, can you not buy them ?

Hi WillH no they are prescribed by doctors as they have to fit and have lots of other add ons!

Best have an address ,Family or friend,then get someone to send them on to you.

Talk to your current GP. They may be able to identify a solution. Otherwise you can register as a temporary resident at any GP practise, in any location in the U.K., and receive treatment for up to three months.

We are fulltiming but our g.p. was happy to give us 6 months meds at a time. Well we are going to enjoy a much healthier lifestyle. Just have to pop back to the UK twice a year to pick them up. Even the dentist was happy with a 12 month check up.
