Can someone tell me how the wires connect 2 wires from the dish the the live and negative 2 from dish one into sat box and the other into tv but will not pick up stations

assuming the 2 connections you are referring too are from the Lnb into the F connector on the sat box, and there is power to the box and Lnb. then the lack of stations could be due to poor alignment of the sat dish onto the correct satellite.

As far as I can tell there should be a coax cable to the box from the dish Lnb, probably to one of those free F connections.

The box in the top picture is not connected to the LNBs on the dish. You need a cable with 'F' connectors.
Don't get excited, I find a house brick complicated, so I may be talking total bo11ocks.

It’s brand new only fitted today the dish just keeps getting round this is a picture from the instructions book I read it D is for additional received and B is for a skew which I don’t have

OK. In that case you need a coax from the sat Lnb to the box and from the box to the TV decoder. Connections D and B on your instructions

Okay thanks I’ll put the A cable from dish into B and put a cable from D into the TV receiver and hope that works well let me know how I get on in a day or two cheers

That should do the trick! The coax cable from the satellite dish (or one of the two if you have a Twin LNB) needs to go via the control box so the system knows when it’s correctly locked on.

We’re finished for Christmas now at Maxview, but if you can’t get it working, post on here and I’ll keep an eye on this thread.

What receiver do you have, and have you done a channel scan on it?

What system do you have? A Target, Seeker or Connect?

Do you think the skew needs adjustment

Hi Lee it’s a target and yes I have done a scan on TV and it’s saying it has just a lots of stations and radio stations but only can get 6 and one will no picture
So the Skew Angle for Astra 2 should be around -14 degrees, so you’ll want to rotate the LNB clockwise in the holder until it’s at that angle.

Hi Wilb, as Art said, just give us a call on 01553 811000 and we can work through it with you. You can also find the manual here:

(assuming you've got a standard Twin LNB not a Sky Q LNB)
