So, our 20 year old Kathrien Crank up dish has failed.

I can find out what's wrong with it, its got me beat. I think it may be the LNB but I cannot find one anywhere.

We have had a couple of auto systems, Snipes that worked for a week. Oyster Vision Autos that cost the earth to maintain.

Our first Dish was a Maxview Crank up that I installed on our first Motorhome. That worked great, could sometimes get it locked quicker than an Auto.

So, I am thinking of another Crank-up.

I see Maxview have improved theirs. Any other opinions please?

Few on here seem to think sat TV has had its day
fire stick and a good data package is all you need iv'e yet to proove em right or wrong

A decent tripod, a cheap dish that dismantles easily and cable and lnb, the whole lot should be between 60 & 70 pounds. Reliable and easy to repair.

thank you, we have done that too.

but on overnight stops or tight spaces, rooftop suits best.

If you have a crank up already....I'd guess a like for like (as near as you can) is the best bet....can't offer you advise too much as my layout didn't lend itself to a crank up (which I really wanted) but opted for a Snipe 3...and brilliant bit of kit....I do have a firestick and decent data package but....nothing beats live news from the home area when you are away.....
