We are away with friends with a Concorde with Mastervolt system, they plugged into EHU and tripped the post, plugged them into our post with our lead and tripped again so had to be in the van, switched all the trips off inside but still tripped? so I decided about the only think that could see power supply with trips off would be the Combi inverter so switched that off and back on and all OK so the basic question is why?

Any ideas anybody.

EDIT just to add that it was RCD trip not overload.

Hi Martin, (I'm just visiting the forum for a second)

Did your pal get it sorted as I've just seen this post.

I only have a basic knowledge of Mastervolt problems pertaining to boats only but it's quite well known (in the boat arena at least) that MV RCD tripping can develop from an accumulation of condensation in the Mastervolt Combi unit. The moisture then produces a temporary short circuit which trips the RCD.

In other instances the MV system can shut down (and trip) because the system detects a low voltage from the hab batteries - low hab voltages are not favoured by MV Combi units.

I hope he gets it sorted.

All the best,

Andrew
