The inner hab door handle on our Adria Compact has given up and needs replacing. I believe it’s a Hartal door and lock mechanism as putting the p/n into google throws up a match but for a Mobilivetta. Before I go to a main stealer are there any recommendations for other spares outlets to try?

Is it the handle that's broken or the spring inside the handle ...?

Digging in a bit deeper it’s the handle itself that’s broken where it connects to the operating rod.

Any bets on that being even harder to locate than the whole assembly?

No, I tried a dab of superglue gel on it myself but it didn’t take.

That’s the one! Excellent, thanks. Now to find someone who will print it in ASF.

In the meantime, and with nothing left to lose, I’m trying the old trick of heating a couple of needles up and pushing them into one broken part, trimming them, before repeating with the other and araldite around it all. It’ll probably be stronger than the original if it holds together!

First off, apologies for the misspelling of Hartal in the thread title - sausage fingers and too rushed!

Thanks to the 3D printing skills of the forum’s very own Paul Lawrence PaulandChrissy plus the link kindly provided by Landy Andy I have a functioning door. Paul has worked a bit of extra magic with the handle and beefed up the pivot part a bit to hopefully prevent any further issues down the line.

Further to the above, I think I’ve figured out why the door mechanism was jammed in the first place, causing the inside handle to snap when I gave it a fair yank.

While the door was apart I checked and lubricated all the internal mechanism and couldn’t find any issues with it. However, I found a very slight bit of drag where the locking bolts meet the brackets in the bodywork. Probably not enough to cause an issue if they were well lubricated, but enough to hang up if not - and they were totally dry after our Morocco trip. Lesson learnt and a good coating with Würth HHS 2000 later and they’re snicking in and out like a snicky thing.

Self levelling telescopic legs next!

You did well to get PaulandChrissy on the job he will have made a better product.
Whilst I was researching for you many who had printed their own had problems initially but PaulandChrissy knows his stuff so will have it sorted
