I want to collect my vehicle on the 29th - 100mike round trip. Allowed to travel then or not do we think?

I would say, not.

Stage two

No earlier than 12 April:

  • All shops allowed to open
  • Restaurants and pub gardens will be allowed to serve customers sitting outdoors, including alcohol
  • Gyms and spas can reopen for individuals and households
  • Hairdressers, beauty salons and other "close contact services" can reopen
  • UK domestic holidays away from home permitted, with self-contained accommodation able to reopen for use by members of the same household
  • Children allowed to attend indoor play activities, with up to 15 parents or guardians allowed to join them
  • Zoos, theme parks and drive-in cinemas can reopen
  • Libraries and community centres can reopen
  • Weddings attended by up to 15 people can take place

Problem iis we hav e trailervision coming to fit Omnivue here in April 5th and 6th. So need it back.
I guess they could do the fitting at RS instead but I really want it back.
March 29th rule of 6 and 2 households mixing outdoors comes into play

The gov website says that reasonable excuses include....

You can leave home to buy things at shops or obtain services where necessary.

I have heard of blended families but 15 Parents to a child that is one heck of a divorce party ( and a very confused kid)

Sorry could not resist

If it was new you could “click and collect” it I think. But it’s not,so you can’t. :cry:

I think its stretching it to travel miles to consider "buy things" at shops, could be construed as collecting a motorhome from a showroom
shop

That's the bit that needs defining really but it would be nice if we could as we need two new Rams on the E&P.

I guess they could deliver to you.

The Stay at Home order ends 29 March so why not as long as it is there and back in one day as there is still no overnight allowed:

As part of step one, there will be further limited changes from 29 March, the week in which most schools will break up for Easter. Outdoor gatherings of either 6 people or 2 households will be allowed, providing greater flexibility for families to see each other. This includes in private gardens.

Outdoor sports facilities, such as tennis and basketball courts, will be allowed to reopen, and people can take part in formally organised outdoor sports.

At this point, the Stay at Home order will end, although many lockdown restrictions will remain.

For example, you should continue to work from home where possible, and overseas travel remains banned, aside for a small number of reasons.

Thanks

On balance I will go for it - worst case will be £400 in fines and I would dispute them

Basically what is the difference between the dealer delivery and you collecting same distance surely.

Do it, I’m a few miles from RS and it seems life as normal round these parts, there’s NO difference in traffic round here.🤷‍♂️
If it was a Morelo from Premium I would offer to drive it home for you👍👍😁😁😁

To the OP
The “stay at home” order ends on 29th March

However the government “URGES” people to minimise the number of journeys they make

That tells me that “ legally” you can make the journey so the answer is , you can

I expect there will be many responders as to whether you ‘should’, but that wasn't your question was it

Already🤷‍♂️ Can I have the old ones, then I’ll only need two more rams, a pump and some pipe and I’m good to go:rofl::rofl::rofl:
