One of my favorite gadgets is my symbian Nokia E71 mobile phone. i have sat nav via Google maps and Route66.

My phone is always at hand so its never hard to find my way back home
but best of all is ViewRanger : Information on Location

ViewRanger™ is a unique mapping, navigation, tracking, and information tool for mobile phones that provides information about your immediate surroundings through a natural and intuitive display. On a phone with a built-in internal GPS, or with a Bluetooth GPS receiver connected, ViewRanger transforms a Nokia or other Symbian S60 smartphone into a fully featured trail navigation system.

simply ordnance survey maps in your pocket with builtin GPS.
i have been using viewranger for 2 years and found hidden footpaths etc nearby while camping . fell walking in the lakes is so brill as you can download routes to follow.

100% recommended and worth checking out
ideal for tourists, walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers, horse riders, geocachers, river boaters - in fact anyone who enjoys the outdoors.:thumb:
