I am having a problem with the new Edelbrock carb on the RV.

After a while, on tickover, it seems to be running rich and eventually stops the engine.

I remember having the problem on my car a few years ago running twin dellorto carbs.

Turned out the fuel pump was providing too much fuel pressure to the carbs and they couldn't shut off the fuel supply causing flooding on tickover.

I'm looking at trying this as carb is brand new and also had problems on the old one.

Replacing the fuel pump for another mechanical or even electric is a possible option also.

Any thoughts anyone?

dont leave it on tickover steve.....doesnt do them any good anyway and it'll save a few bob on a new pump. :thumb:

It was a nice man at the garage that insisted on doing this....

Doesn't like it in our good old British Traffic Jams or Traffic lights either...:Doh:
