Anyone heading on the M5 going north, just below Worcester, total shutdown, police, ambulances and fire engines zooming past 20 minutes ago. Looks like a long wait. Heading for Shrewsbury rally.

At least you have the relative comfort of food, drink and somewhere to go to the loo. I always feel so sorry for families stuck in cars in these hold ups. Hopefully no-one badly injured.

I'll tell Martin.

Get the sign out, TOILET £5.
It should pay your pitch fees for Shrewsbury

Just taken us 4hours to do the 108 miles from Devon (Slapton) to North Somerset!

Never seen the M5 so bad…..without an accident involved.

I know the North Devon Show is on, but at one point it took us a hour to do 6 miles on the A38. Stop start on the Motorway all the way from Exeter until we jumped off at J22.

Good luck to anyone who is setting out down this way.

It took me almost 5 hours to cover a similar distance to my parents. Roadworks meant several roads (or at least junctions) shut so sheer volume of traffic and the inevitable rear end shunts. At one point I was averaging 3 mph on the A1. I took back roads when I found an exit that wasn't blocked off and made better time that way.

Truly horrendous , trips best done early hrs but then that’s when they do most of the motorway maintenance , so got to take it in you stride , plenty of time allowed , air con on . Spotify selected , chill out 😂 I would personally stay out of the south west till September earliest

Difficult when you live there. Looks like car will be redundant as well…..north or south for us is a nightmare. Locals use the back roads to Bristol, making them a snail trail.

However, we do enjoy living in our town.(y)
