Anyone heading through the West Midlands on the M42 over the festive season, the M42 is closed in both directions between J9 and J10 until 5am on 3 January 2023. Currently taking about 40 minutes on the diversion. More HS2 work.

Last year they closed the same section over christmas to improve the road structure, this time they are putting a new box girder bridge that will carry HS2 over the motorway.
