I've had an Email from Eurotunnel telling me that the M20 is closed in one direction (heading towards London) on Sunday but could anyone confirm that the Dover bound section is still open - or not ?

www.kentlive.news seems to give a different version to the one emailed by Eurotunnel.

Any help appreciated.

And they ve put the lorry Parking area on the wrong carriageway, its traffic leaving Uk that gets affected by Operation Stack. You couldnt make it up!

I will be heading north from the tunnel on Sunday morning. I'm not going to try the M20 at all. I'll go to Dover and then the M2.
If it's the usual story we will drive 400 miles from southern France without a hitch and then find hell in the way of the M25 once we hit England.

I came back from France the other evening and was diverted all round the houses, foreigners were totally lost as diversion signs were facing all directions, lorries were causing mayhem trying to turn around, we got to one diversion sign and the road we were diverted onto was closed, you really as has been said can't make it up. I guess the road planners were always the ones at uni that couldn't get onto any other courses

I thought it was closed from Monday the 16th in both directions.

I haven’t previously heard of closures on Sunday.

Meant to be returning early hours Sunday morning. Does anyone know any facts on what's really happening ?

If it's due the bridge demolition again, last weekend I went to Dover on the M20 and A2 M2 up to the M25. that was last weekend, it was junctiond 9 to 11 closed then, both direction.

Off tunnel this morning and on to road towards Dover, then first road towards Canterbury. A2, M2, Dartford Crossing. Just had to watch out for the sign off the M2 to the DC as there are lots of cones for their bit of roadworks.
