I know.. 17 years i've been retired.. It's more to help a mate out than the money
Typical he's had very little need of me past 2 weeks but desperate for help on the 12th

Just looking at food delivery options for the weekend, thinking keep it simple there are fish and chips and pizza options in Oakham

Before I start checking whether they can cope / deliver multiple meals in same delivery can I just check how many might want or definitely don’t want

Thinking maybe a food delivery on Friday and Saturday early evening

It is quite likely Bev will have her car so collection an option to minimise errors and late delivery

I think Indian and Chinese could get too complicated , but please arrange your own if preferred

I’m not sure what time we’ll get there, (prob around 6pm) but alas I cannot have fish and chips after 2pm or I’ll be up all night so we will sort ourselves out if that’s ok

I have had a mad idea to walk round Rutland Water, think it’s 14 miles, so about 4 hours

Weather dependent and time depends on time spent at Horse and Jockey about 1 mile from home

Presuming we go anti clockwise

Anybody else up for it ?

Sadly I think too far for Kerry these days... 'Sniffari' speed would be about six hours

Maybe we might make the Horse & Jockey though

Fish & chips for us sounds like a great idea but, unfortunately these days, not so much the 14 mile walk... might drive to the pub though and sweep up anyone that wants to drop out.

On reflection and without the added enthusiasm a couple of large gins can produce I have decided the church in the water and back may be more appropriate , maybe via pub or golf club for sustenance then another day walk the other way to the other pub sounds much more sensible / achievable
