It does indeed and this is where things get confusing. Extract from the small print:

The offer is for non-commercial, private, personal use only – Lycamobile reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the offer or to disconnect you if we suspect that offer is being used for commercial purposes, for conferencing, or if it is not being used in a handset (in a SIM box for example), if it is being used for tethering.

I always thought tethering was the same as a personal hotspot but happy to be corrected!

O2 ( who lycamobile run on) have in its small print that you are not allowed to use phone Sims in mifi's or routers. I would think this is what it refers to. Hotspotting from your phone, fill your boots.

Trying to sort this minefield out regarding EU roaming.

EE going to charge £2 a day to roam I assume that means you can use your allowance to roam without a 12/20gb cap.

I just wish they would say things in simple terms without all the bloody small print etc.

Brain fog now from looking through all the deals, will start again tomorrow.🥴

As 'sim box' isn't the same as a mifi:

I use to use Togglemobile years back which ran on the lycamobile system ,ideal and cheap calls in designated countries worldwide..
Toggle then went down and lycamobile took over and calls went from 3p to 16p so ditched it.
Main supply from 3 for as long as I can remember always suited my needs ,unlimited everything £16 per mth. Tethering and same sim into mifi if needed.
Phone calls get diverted to spare phone if using mifi.

02,ee,T-mobile lycamobile all in the same pocket and a bit confusing 😕

The charges apply or dont depending on when you took out the contract but still data capped.

Can I roam with unlimited data?

Yes, you can still use your plan abroad in our roam like home destinations but will be subject to the data fair use policy (given the roaming plans) - you have a 50GB data allowance and can't roam for more than 3 consecutive months.
