7 weeks before ferry time I have a small a bleed Thursday on Saturday a big bleed and pain so I go to bed for a couple of days monday try to phone for a appointment got one for Tuesday oh doc said nasty hospital for you suspect septic etc so went straight to ward and got inspected they WERE very worried so have a scan and,nasty appendix and gallstone trying to get in on the act very late Wednesday operation done woke up no pain this seem OK went home Thursday afternoon .
Appointment came through about said gallstone for the day after we leave so rearrange appointment to a earlier date we will probably cancel the ferry until January.

Bad news but at least you are getting sorted,

REMEMBER.. You need to advise your travel insurance ref the hospital visits and declare everything.
I suspect premium may go up

Phew! You were lucky. If appendicitis had progressed to peritonitis while you were away it could have been very nasty. Hope the gallstones procedure goes well so that you can enjoy a relaxing holiday.
