Hi everyone
Could someone give us some advise on where we can get an LPG adaptor from the Nidderdale or Yorkshire dale area please. Virgin vaners, 1st trip, just brought van & found we can't top up our LPG ?
Many thanks in advance

Assuming you have re-fillables or bulk tank.

Another vote for Autogas 2000. Great service, very knowledgeable and in Carlton Minniot, very near Thirsk (so in Yorkshire). We got three adaptors in a strong little canvas bag.

If it’s a refillable system you don’t need an adapter, only when filling abroad.

Maybe he's been gassed in the van. Look out in the pub for knock-off Rolex, iPads, Nikon DSLR and people trying to buy a drink from a £10,000 roll. ;)

I am guessing you have a fixed bayonet ?
My system has a flush mounted filling point which you then screw in the adaptor you wish to use, be it brit or other

Never replied to the last thread they started either.

i think you need one of these to screw into the gas inlet

That only works if the vehicle was built for the UK. Mine uses an adaptor but the thread is only 10mm metric for screwing in.

Our Citreon Xantia was like that, while in France someone sent us a set out, but they was the big ones, so we got a Frenchman to put thread in the UK one we had so the others screwed into it. ?
But looking at this set the UK bayonets got a thread in it. ? Bob.

No way of connecting a filling hose without as the inlet is just the standard threaded connector.
And the same with mine. I carry 4 adapters because I need one for the UK bayonet fitting hose
Can I ask what type of systems you have fitted?
I have twin 11kg Alugas fitted and I thought all of the systems would have a bayonet connector.

AFAIK all the systems use one of two connectors. Your one will have a large round cap and will include the bayonet fitting. Our one has a much smaller square cap and ends in a female thread into which you insert whatever connector you want. If you buy it in the UK it comes with the UK bayonet fitting.

We got ours from Gasit, who supply both types as do all the other companies I think. We chose ours because it was less conspicuous.

Yes I had to buy 10mm to bayonet & 10mm to spanish to screw in to my existing which is an Italian/French internal cup with German acme thread on the outside , which is the original.
