Hi guys, the symbol came up on the instrument panel for low tyre pressure. Called at a local tyre dealer and asked him to check. All tyres now inflated to correct recommendations. Symbol still showing ? Any ideas on how to re set ? Many thanks.

This happens periodically on my car. I’ve found that the warning light doesn’t go off immediately but after I have driven for about a mile. How far have you driven since you had the tyres inflated - as it could be similar.

There will be vehicle specific instructions. What is your vehicle/chassis?

Usually there is a button to hold in until a beep or the warning symbol flashes.

Thanks for the replies, had them checked before we had a trip around North Yorkshire travelling from Nottinghamshire. It goes off on my car after a while but this has been on for well over a week. Checked all the tyres again today and they are fine. The vehicle is a Peugeot Elddis Evo 185. Thanks again.

  • Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the engine switch off
  • Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the middle pillar, driver’s side.
  • Turn the engine switch to the “ON” position
  • Press the MENU button located on the audio system
  • Access the Personalisation Configuration menu
  • Scroll down and select Define vehicle parameters
  • Select the Tyre pressures
  • Then select Reinitialisation and Confirm the instruction by pressing “Yes”

Method 3:

Use this method, if your vehicle is equipped with a Touch screen audio system:

  • Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the engine switch off
  • Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the middle pillar, driver’s side.
  • Turn the engine switch to the “ON” position
  • Press the MENU button located on the audio system
  • Select the “Driving” menu.
  • In the secondary page, select “Under-inflation initialisation”.
  • Confirm the instruction by pressing “Yes”

No good guys, tried the menu button on the Audio panel and it does not give me the personalisation menu. Tried the menu on the dashboard, can get tyre pressure but only allows me to change from psi to bar. Manual says that once the pressures have been corrected the warning light should go off automatically ?
Phone call to the dealer i think !

We had same problem in our Elddis 185. Turned out there was a fault in one of the transmitters in one tyre. Had to replace all and recalibrate. Peugeot main dealer diagnosed it and fixed it under warranty. Has to be done as it’s a MOT fail item.

The problem with the Peugeot TPM is that it has to have the tyre pressures as shown on the panel just inside the passenger door. 75 psi or thereabouts before the TPM switches off. It does take a few miles ,15 mins for the TPM to correct itself.
I doubt the local tyre dealer would have pumped the tyres up high enough.

Thanks for the help guys, to reply to jimbohorlicks I checked the pressures again after returning from our trip around North Yorkshire and they were all within the recommended psi on the door panel. Perhaps a couple of psi above if anything. Could be a fault with one of the pressure senors I suppose, but with the MHO only being a year old I didn’t expect to fail so quickly ! Thanks again guys, always appreciated.

You could try disconnecting the cab battery for 15 mins and allowing your system to reset itself. (y) when you reconnect and turn on ,wait until the ecu's reset and all dash lights have settled before trying to start up.

Hi Jimbohorlicks, is this safe to do regarding the vehicles electronics ? Would you disconnect the pos or neg terminal or both ? Many thanks.

If you dont have a battery master connected ,just disconnect the negative lead.
Ps
Note that you have to do this when changing the battery anyway. (y)
