Having read a German tourist info site I see that a Low emission sticker is needed for some areas.
There seems to be different stickers dependent on age of the vehicle. As my van was registered in 1996 does this mean I am exempt from this scheme. It seems to say that there is no badge for diesel vehicles before 1.1.97.
Can anyone cast any light on this. I am planning to tour Germany end May/June.
Thanks for any help

You will not be allowed in the "Umwelt Zones" unless you have the appropriate sticker.

If your diesel vehicle is registered before 1997 you will not get a sticker, if you are caught in a zone without the appropriate sticker you will be fined €40 each time you are stopped.:Angry:
