MH
Fiat Ducato Mc Louis
Exp
since 2007
Hi from Ireland. Motor-home has been parked up for obvious reasons and battery in engine compartment has gone flat.It is stored in a shed without power. MH is a McLouis Glen on a 2.4 Fiat Ducato chassis, year is 2004, a bit old like myself. I believe that there is a special connection point for hooking up booster leads but not directly onto the battery connections. There is little room to get the crocodile clips on to the positive connector. Anyone any advice as to where the alternative positive connector is ?
Photo would be great.
Thanks.

Hi Ray

You might be charged a flat rate for that information ?

The connections are under the bonnet, on the right hand side on mine, yours may be different but assuming yours is RHD probably in the same place.

And welcome! ?

If it`s a 2004, I think it`ll be an x244 Ducato so no remote battery connections as the battery is in the engine bay.
Later models have the battery under the cab floor, hense the remote connections.
There should be enough room to get the crocodile clip on.

Welcome to the forum by the way

If the battery has not been charged since lockdown it may well be internally damaged and won't hold a full charge.
Regular lead acid batteries self discharge plus alarms etc will flatten it even faster.
You MAY need a new battery.
