Hi Just been in Europe and continually had issues with loss of power warning on my control panel, also the Fuse RCD box made clicking noise. Could this be down to hook up cable?

The control panel says loss of 240 volts (flashing) but I can switch on cooker element and it works.
So suspect that the control panel is iffy?
But can't understand why the Fuse box buzzes.
thanks.

I think you need to be systematic in your fault finding with an intermittent fault like this.
perhaps start by eliminating the EHU cable then through the van in line. Worth checking the hook up cable is not damaged, also that the wire connections into the plugs are properly secure.
then possible check the socket on the van does not have any loose terminals.

fuse box buzzing is classic of a slightly loose connection.. and that could well be in the fuse box.

if the RCD is clicking, the fault is from there back to the bollard

could be the plugs on the cable, the cable itself or the inlet socket. Seen a few with wires loose on the back of the inlet

Thanks think I will get a new hook up lead first to eliminate that, then get the Fuse box checked as I suspected that maybe through vibration on some iffy roads and in particular the cobble streets in Portugal may not have helped.

where are you? maybe somebody local can lend you one to rule out the cable

I think that Bailey fuse box has the battery charger / transformer inside it , perhaps it is that buzzing. or the relays in the fuse box / PSU
