Hi all, just north of Lyon, cant find Astra 2 when I can on can get Spire I.E (Irish source) and intellesat 907 no channels either. Been down to Homps on the Canal du Midi got all channels ok. Now making way back up nothing. Using Oyster Vision three and Crypto 700 had boxes.

Intelsat 907 is now 901in the same Orbital position however the channels remain the same and no change to the BISS codes as far as i'm aware .
Lyon shouldn't be an issue to pull in Astra 2 @28.2 both the spot beam which carry's the bulk of the mainstream free channels and the far wider Pan European beam .
Have you tried locating Astra 1@ 19.2e and if successful switch to Astra 2 , failing that have an issue with your cabling

Hi Bessy,

As already posted, there shouldn't be any issues with Astra 2 or Intelsat in France as you're well inside all of the relevant beams. The only thing I can think of that may cause the system to struggle is satellite jamming equipment of some sort. I do know that close proximity to airports and military bases using such equipment can cause these problems but other than that the only other thing that would cause an issue such as this are obstacles affecting the line of site to the satellite.

Many thanks for your replies, all channels back ok having moved. Just a fluke stopped at two different aires with reasonably line of site for dish? But. no reception from Astra 2 or intel 907.
