A simple problem for which I have not found a solution.
My Awning stretcher pole fits inside two square plastic clips on the roof of my vans garage. Looks very tidy and keeps the pole out of the way but the moment I drive away the pole drops out of the clips. I have tried warming the plastic clips to bend them tighter. did not work.
I know it is not a major problem, I just hope someone out there has a solution or perhaps I am the only person with this problem.

Add a bit of self adhesive velcro at either end or in the middle.

It works.

Our van was fully velcro'd up when we got it, previous owner didn't like rattles!

Velcro is good. We replaced the table leg clips with Velcro ties. Much easier to use as I find the leg clips too stiff. Just screw tbrough the centre of the Velcro tie into one of the existing clip screw holes. They come in packs of 5.

The other place for the poles and support is just inside your hab door. Many vans have space there which is convenient and out the way.

Excellent answers. I am now banging my skull on the wall wondering why I did not think of this. Thank you very much. Alan

If you want to keep it where it is a couple of small angle brackets / small blocks of wood and mount the clips on their side.

Garage floors as good a place as any and they can't fall any further.
If you aren't using them at any time it's no hardship just taking them out, get what you want and put them back in.
Not exactly bulky or heavy.
