July 2018 sees my return to Wales after far too many absent years, attending a wedding at a venue near Forest Coal Pit (NP7 postal area).

It's still in the early planning stages and there may space at the venue, but for Plan B, are there any gems of sites or CL/CS that you can recommend.

TIA

Never stayed there but a friend recommended Blossom Touring Park. It looks good on the website.

Tredegar Park is near Newport.

Nice site there but I think you need to be a CC member.

I'm in both main clubs, so can utilise either, but the closer I am to Forest Coal Pit, the better it will be to get back to the van when I've had a shandy or two :drink:

Then again, it's my eldest boy's wedding and I started to think he'd never do it, so it might be worth a few more shandies :drink::wine:

Sorry just checked and Tredegar Park is 27 miles away from where you want to be.

I just did a quick search and as posted above, Blossom looks the closest ( 5 miles).

I would contact the venue direct and ask if you can stay there.

Some quite local ones for you...

rising sun, quite popular and quite close
pen Y Dre, quite close an seems well used. nice pub a shortwalk away, along with a village shop/garage
blossom touring park bit further out but have heard good things about it
wernddu also gets very good reviews.
pandy caravan club site, very popular, not sure why as there is railway right on the edge of it!! but the pandy inn does cracking food and its only a short walk.

I hope this doesn't sound too rude, as it's not meant to, but "Where exactly" is a private residence, out in the countryside and easily identified.
I wouldn't be comfortable putting my own post code on an open forum and the same applies to this one. The nearest village is close enough :D

When faced with not wishing to use the actual post code (more often than not, our own) use one for the next street or public building like library etc.
