Could some kindly Funster please confirm there is no height barrier there? I phoned the parking authority and they said none, but he only looked it up in some book, but the Metro website says there is a 2.1m height barrier. It's important because Mrs Dorwyn has an op at the nearby Bristol Dental hospital next week and we don't have a car.

That should be Long Ashton not Long Ashton Gate. Dooh, fingers and brain not co-ordintated

Double decker buses go in and out and have seen motorhomes parked in there. Park and ride very busy so may have problems parking

I’ve just done a walk through on street view and can confirm no height barriers at Long Aston P&R (unless put up very recently).
Bristol Zoo not a suitable option.
Just had a look at the Portway Park n Ride On the A4 and I cannot see a height barrier there either. Unfortunately there are no parking spaces at my house else you could come here.

I’m always dreaming of Ashton Gate too. Theatre of Bristolian dreams.
Don’t know about the P and R but plenty of vans park up at the Westbury end of the Downs and buses into the Centre from there every 15 mins.

Not sure I've ever dreamed of Bristol, though I do have the occasional nightmare journey up to the M32 when I go up north.

Thanks for that. The trouble is, there are so many height barriers going up so quickly all over t'place, you can't rely on printed or internet info. Thanks for the thought about parking at yours, if you find yourself short of parking in Wells ....
