Yes to protect the cells, no lfp should exceed 0,3C discharge/ charge for longevity. You can hammer them down to 1C but at battery life cost.

30Amp at 12volt is not a great deal of use for an inverter or such

I am left wondering about the quality and longevity of certain Lithium Batteries advertised on a variety of sites. This is rapidly becoming an emerging market for the deceivers and rip off copiers. I have a Sterling battery setup on the boat (not Lithium) but it has simply been faultless over many years. Why would I fall for an unknown Ebay company of no known heritage just because it is cheap?
Very much a buyer beware situation currently in this emerging market I guess is what I am saying!

I have 400 and they handle a 1400w oven pretty well. It’s about 0,25C and it’s the largest load but not used often.

Maybe because of a funster recommendation. Both Raul and myself have used these batteries for a long period of time and the performance has been fantastic 👍🏻

They been a while in the game, mine are installed since summer 2019, and performing pretty well.

For LifePO4 cells I am not too concerned as they are mainly produced by 4 major manufacturers. It is the associated electronics in a battery that would raise any concerns. But Ultra Max appear to have been around a while?

Just googled them and they are no fly by night by the looks of things.

Raul That certainly does look like a great deal to me.

What do you think Wissel ?

I see you only have 40minutes to decide, as offer expires 18 Aug 2022.

Back in the day I rang their technical department. A engineer called me back the next day, then I made my purchase. They have developed their own bms, that later got copied by others under different known names.

Would appear to be an endorsement of them on this forum then which is fine. I will stick with my Sterling charged Sterling battery bank.
When the Delivery van eventual arrives I will be upgrading to Sterling Lithium just can't fault the company and thir backup excellent company.

If you have the money I certainly wouldn’t fault Sterling as a manufacturer 👍🏻. It’s just nice to have some high quality “ budget “ solutions out there . I’ve not done the pricing up but I guess Sterling would be about double the cost but if it’s proven and trustworthy I understand why you wouldn’t change 👍🏻

I have 2 Sterling Lifepo’s that have performed perfectly. I paid £525 but I see they are currently £499

Raul was it you that said the Ultramax doesn't like high charge rates if the battery state of charge is low?

It was me, but applies to ALL LFP, if you deep discharge them, almost 100%, before the cell reaches 3v ; 12v on the charge up, current should not exceed 0,1C or lower.
This applies to temp to. You can actually charge above 0 with 0.05C upto 5 deg then increase to 0,1C up to 15 deg then at 25-35 only 1C. Above 35 deg should decrease again down to 0.1C.

I have nothing but praise for Ultramax. I fitted one of these batteries a couple of years ago and it has performed faultlessly. Super value and great performance.

Gromett, It seems that the supplier has more than one advert for the same battery!
The listing I posted is as shown and doesn’t have the option to select/de-select the charger. 👍

Different listing to what we are discussing then?
