Hi all looking for some help in tracking down a 12v cigarette lighter connection for an LG tv. I have searched through the internet but cannot seem to find one.I have also emailed LG.com,but they cannot advise as they do not know my van set-up!!. There is loads for other tv,s,laptops, etc, but not what i am looking for.
I can run it off a plug- in inverter but would rather go from the tv to a 12v plug.I normally watch everything from my laptop, but have a firestick i want to use now,but the laptop hdmi is an output and not an imput connection so will not work. Some pics below for more info and hopefully someone can advice me of a solution without using an inverter. My van is completely 12v from solar and i do not use hook-up.

The outside of the jack plug measures 6.06mm and the inside 4.33mm , measured with a digital caliper.
Many thanks in advance,as i know there is always someone with the knowledge on the forum.

Cheers Cris.

The label says 19v, that's fairly standard for most laptops so plenty of power supplies available. Just measure the plug the outer dia & the centre pin dia.
Not clear in the photo but I'm assuming the outer is the negative connection.

thanks , I have a lg telly and was thinking about how I could power it, should work well.

You'll need a dc to dc converter to increase the van 12v to the TV 19v, you won't find a cigarette lighter cable to your TV that will work.

Fortunately, I run a LG TV in my van and this is what I use, dirt cheap, works and includes the correct tip for your tv

Rob

Thanks for that ,i knew someone would have the answer,i was not sure if it was the correct tip or supply method i had been looking at . will call and order that tomoz.

Cheers and thanks for the replies. Cris.

All works fine, thought i would just update incase it helps anyone.
Xheers Cris.🍻.

The 19v is probably up to not the running voltage.
Vehicle voltage when running is usually around 14.5v from the alternator.

I have been running my LG 24 inch TV (LG 24MT46D) off 12v with no voltage converter happily for over 2 years without problem. Whilst LG says it needs 19v, it works fine with 12v. Also, if you put the screen into economy mode it only draws 0.6amp from ~12.6v. I tested it with my bench power supply and it works all the way down to 10.5v.

I did sort it 😁
