The start of another little trip, went Dover Calais this time as first stop Belgium and the ferry was half the price of the tunnel.

French boarder control scanned our passports, glanced at the QR vax code on our phones didn't scan it, didn't ask for the travel declaration form, that was it, no one in UK booth.

Arrived at Calais into a brand new berth, first boat to Dock at it, loads of the bosses watching. Boat came in really slow took ages to berth then they had a problem with the ramp took ½ hour to get off the boat.

Quick pitstop at the Super U at Grand Fort Philip for wine, milk & flan.

Parked up at Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 in Belgium. Visit to dealer in the morning for damp check then we will head south, not a clue where.

Probably going to head towards South West France, maybe onto Spain & Portugal (I've had enough of German hospitals ). May stop off in the Massiffe Central for a bit of walking, don't really know.

Lenny HB Thank you for putting up a photo of the Pou Maumahara (Maori Memorial). I haven’t seen it before. Apparently, it took master carvers in Rotorua four years to create it from Swamp Kauri.
I have put it on my list of sights to see when I next get to Europe.

Hope you both have a good time, keep out of trouble, stay away from hospitals and if offered blackcurrent gin, check the neighbours are asleep.

Somewhat jealous Lenny but enjoy. We'll be following you (from the couch at home)

A just over a week before we left found out out EHCI ran out in January applied for new GHCI cards but didn't arrive before we left. Did find out if you need treatment you can get emergency number online. Normally a condition of travel insurance you have a card.

I enjoy following your trips Hope you have a great and all goes well this time

Friend of ours had a medical issue when in Portugal 2 years ago and their cards had also run out. No problem they just had to forward the details when they eventually came through. Ahh just remembered he also had to give them one of his kidneys!

Have a safe and enjoyable trip Mai & Lenny.

Keep the photos coming(y)

After the drama of Campirama we headed back to France.
Stopped on an Aire for lunch at Catillon-sur-Sambre, right beside a canal and we are they only ones here so decided to stay for the night.
I noticed DBK has been here in 2018

Last time we stopped there, Janie filled a bag with nice plums, we used to park the other side of the road near the bridge right by the canal 4 or 5 spaces with electric, don't know if it's still there. 😁 Bob

Love that place , been several times , couple of times on the otherside of the bridge costing 5 euro's with ehu, but they closed that too moho's a few years ago , been there once , when they were making the new one over the bridge on some disused land with no sctual view of canal , but just up over the towpath.
