Lenny's heading for France & beyond

Nice sunny day until 4pm then down came the rain.

Now at Sauveterre-de-Béarn, supposed to be a nicer parking down by the river but it's on grass and gets muddy when wet so gave that a miss.

13° and peeing down so you can whistle for photos of the town.

Weather has been little different further East, today we were travelling from Arc et Senans to Maxey sur Meuse via basic roads but as we approached Goncourt previous knowledge of the village / Aire the rainfall persuaded us it would be a good idea to stop here!

Rain… biblical today on our travels. At one point on the A63 south of Bordeaux the whole motorway was down to 40 kph… two main reasons, any faster and everyone would have been aquaplaning and you just couldn’t see the lane markings, let alone vehicles in front! Crazy conditions… 🌧️
Yep, drove through it on our way North and it’s not warm rain either. A couple of days ago I was moaning it was too hot.

Not got to Spain yet, France is too expensive in the evening and not practical lunch time when travelling.

You are not far from us then.
Just come back from driving down through France, Switzerland to Italy and back through Germany and France, suprised how reasonable food prices where in Italy there for 4 days. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

That’s a trip I’d love to do…⛵⚓

We met a couple of guys in 2023 while parked on the side of Doubs canal at Baume Les Dames, they had bought a boat in Sweden and were taking it to Malta via canals. They left Sweden in June and this was September, they flew home for a week in August but apart from that they had no timeframe to get home. Sounds like a great trip to me.

Sunshine is back, just been on the croissant run and took a few pics.

Very strange. 🙄

Wherever you go, there are no other people.

I wonder who informs them, you're coming?🤔

See above pics for evidence.:p
Probably you. 🤣
Looks like you are in your bolt hole, I did think of coming that way but I'd only get insulted & drunk. 🤣

I got stuck on this bridge about twelve years ago it's a 90 degree turn onto it and my back wheel got stuck against the metal curb on the right which is about 200mm high and my front wheel was wedged against the curb on the left. I couldn't go forward or backwards🤔 when the traffic started to build up the only option was to give it plenty of revs and pull the back wheel over the curb. It was a lot better than laxatives 😳
