Now at Nijar.

Nice little car park for a FLT even has a WC to dump the loo.

If you go to Nijar don't let your wives loose it will seriously damage you wallet.
Look what happened to me.

Due to the FLT's wallet being emptied in the local shops I had to cook my own dinner.

Salmon steaks with Lenny made lemon & cheese sauce.

Have a walk up the valley behind Nijar to Huebro, there are numerous abandoned water mills and the view from the top is quite good, if you are lucky the little bar may even be open.

While walking up to Huebro Mijhan thought she would take a drink of the nice clear water running down the old mill aquaducts.
A mile or so later the water in the ducts looked like it had soap suds in it, when we got to the hamlet we found out why............................................a local woman washing her husband's underpants (I kid you not) in the wash house and guess where the water goes from there.

Now parked up on the harbour arm at Almeria, a bit windy it was fine until a couple of large ferries came in now the noise of their engines throbbing away is unbearable, had too much beer and wine to move.

Had a quick wizz around the cathedral earlier.

Sleet/snow now peeing down & only 5°. Stopped for lunch in Trevelez the highest village in Spain @ 5000ft.

Hehe, yours is self inflicted weather, roughly one degree drop in temp. for every hundred meters altitude gained.

Started off nice and sunny by midday having the worst weather since being in Spain until now only had the old little shower during the day.

Original plan was to spend the night at Trevelez but with the weather being rubbish & the car park half full of rocks & stuff for road & wall repairs decided to move on to another village.
Carried on to Capileira, the CC stop there the access was dodgy for our size van, found another car park and had a short walk around the village in the poring rain and now only 3 deg.

Got stuck in a traffic jam on our walk round.

Weather real crap now so decided to head back towards the coast, got as far as the next village Pampneira. Pulled into a small parking area / viewing spot on our decent into the valley. Weather still deterioating so decided to spend the night here.

Had a bit of trouble typing this although the rain has now stopped big squals are blowing through the vally and the van is really rocking.

This van was parked here, moved off at 10 pm perhaps they knew about the coming wind.

Got one shot in between the low clouds.

Nice view down the valley.

Much better this morning the wind is dying down dropped a bit in the last 15 min. Since 10pm last night had 5-10min of calm followed by 10-20min of howling gale with the van rocking like a fairground ride, quite frighting at first but soon got used to it.
Only a few flakes of the snow that was forecast, 4 deg outside at the moment.

Sitting out in the sunshine now by the beach at Castell de Ferro.
Only downside is that were are on a Camper Stop so having to pay €10 a night. Needs must had to do some washing.
