Has any, non engineer, Funster managed to get this company to supply them.
Seeing that when you ring Dometic UK they put you through to this company for spare parts, they refuse any help because I'm not an engineer qualified to handle this replacement work!!!!

Yes no problem. Got some extra fridge shelves a few weeks ago, phoned order through and goods arrived very quickly. Excellent service.

It's interesting to hear that they will deal with the general public. I can only assume that they considered you qualified to fit the parts you were ordering.
The part I want, they have decided, requires an engineer to fit and I'm not even qualified to order it on behalf of my qualified engineer who has done this work before.

This might sound too easy - get the 'Engineer' to order it then and you pay him up front, or is he an 'engineer' who never orders parts?

Hi I have used them many times, the last was recently when I purchased a new gas jet. I can’t believe that they thought I was trade as my home address is obviously residential.

Never had a problem when ordering various technical bits. Maybe as you were transferred from Dometic you were on the "trade" line? Try calling on their normal number of the website.

Do some research on the part you require.

I note you require a Dometic part.

We have just received two new shelves for the fridge.
The lady at the other end requires the exact model and long number found on the plate inside the fridge in order to make sure that the part you want is the right one.

Tip. Take a photo of that plate. It saves (in my case) lying on the floor and trying to get my varifocals in the right place.

Thanks to all who have responded to this thread. After a suggestion received from dulvil, within another thread related to my difficulties in getting the Dometic parts I need, I have contacted DMS who very quickly sourced the parts from Holland for delivery direct to me in England. All for a lot less than any supplier in UK. So hopefully a successful outcome. Hooray for Funsters and DMS.

Not had any problems with them although not used them recently. Bought 2 thermocouplings from them, good service.
