Legalities regarding box trailer with motorbike

Hi, can anyone advise please? We would like to go to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland towing our trailer and motorbike. Are there any requirements for a ‘carnet’ to take the trailer and motorbike or any advice about insurance for trailer etc please?
Last time we were abroad with the trailer and motorbike was before Brexit!!!

My GUESS is Eire is common travel so nothing extra like the carnet.

We tow ours on a trailer behind the van - never needed a Carnet as not permanently shipping it. We have visited 13 countries, including Ireland, and no issues

We have advised our van insurers and the trailer is added to the policy, and green card if needed. Motorbike has its own insurance.

Just to clarify, you were asking about the trailer carnet.
I can't comment on that but of course Eire is in EU but NI is UK. There are no border controls between North and South, only difference is the roadsigns.
Of course you will need to have European travel insurance for the van and you will have already declared the fact that you have a trailer.
Non of this matters,,,unless you have a claim whilst in EU then it all matters!

Eire is in EU but NI is UK.

But both are in the Common Travel Area for UK and Irish citizens.
