Has anyone any advice to offer on toning down a very bright awning light? It is a 500mm LED strip light and is angled downwards so that anyone sitting opposite needs welders goggles. No unhelpful offers from @Daz n Tina thanks.

Is it possible to change the LED strip? If it is try a warm white version as they aren't as intense and are much easier on the eyes.

It is a replacement unit, I fitted an awning rail and needed a long narrow unit as a replacement. I'm not sure that a warm white version was available.
Thanks for the reply.

One year. A whole one!
I fitted a coloured plastic wrap to mine, which has worked well.

I didn't want a bright white light (mine are inside lights) and was after a warmer tone, so bought some yellow 3M sticky-back plastic and stuck that over the lenses. It's worked well and was an incredibly easy job to do.

I'd agree that a dimmer would be a good move, if the LED unit you've fitted is suitable for dimming and if you can find a suitable switch.
