static caravan
Hi,
first post here!
The shower mixer is leaking in my static caravan.
It is constantly dripping from the threaded connection at the bottom.
I have taken the shower lead off but cant find or see how to get inside the unit to stop the leak
Probably may need new O rings but I need to get inside it first!
Has anyone got any ideas please?
thanks all

Looking at your picture the cap on the bottom valve (on off one) has a cut out so the cap popped off. That will then show a screw, undo that, and then you will find the nut which is the top of the ceramic cartridge. Unwind that, obviously having already turned water off and released any pressure first.

That all guessing from the above pic.

Thanks, I will attempt the repair today!
Yes as said above.
Before you start as said turn off the water and put a cloth over the shower outlet so that little screw doesn’t end up down there,🥲
If you can’t get an o ring a wrap off PTFE. Tape would do the trick, wrapping the tape in the opposite direction to the thread. good luck.

Is the threaded connection at the bottom the one the shower hose fastens onto?. Do you mean if the shower is off and the hose off it constantly drips suggesting it does need dismantling or that it drips with the hose on when running and for a while after as the water in the hose drips out in which case all you need is a new hose!.
If its the second DON'T Dismantle anything!

Yes it drips out the bottom when the shower hose has been disconnected

Hi
That looks like the V100 thermostatic shower mixer valve. If so, parts are all but impossible to obtain. Now the good news, the more up to date version which is a straight swap is only £32.99 at Amazon.

These can’t be repaired, I’ve tried and there’s no o-rings in them. Easy to replace and cheap, so splash (see what I did there) out and get a new one.

I also destroyed one by it freezing in place as I had forgotten to disconnect the shower hose in winter and it cracked the body.
